Our supplier sent us an extra box of roses by mistake. That sounds wonderful, but we have more flowers coming in and we won't have room to close the cooler doors soon!
We sent out an email inviting you to stop in and pick up a wrapped dozen roses to give away as you saw fit. Give one to a Mom who's away from her kids, show a teacher your appreciation or just lift someone's spirits. We know you are wonderful and caring people and you will help us shower our community with love!
The fine print: we need to send these out by Wednesday, so please stop in today (5/5) or tomorrow(5/6). We do have a limited supply, so when they are gone, they are gone... and we will have a LOT of happy people around us!
Practice a random act of kindness today, then tell us about it by leaving a comment here or on our facebook page. Thanks... we appreciate you!

Mother's Day is May 9th!
Spring means new life, new growth and a new chance to thank Mom for all she's done for you. Show her your appreciation with a spring bouquet!
New this year, we are offering a "refill coupon" with select bouquets. Add this option to your order
and she can bring back her vase later to be refilled with the freshest seasonal flowers we have. What better way to keep thanking her in the days and weeks to come?
The refill coupon is available with the "Mom's
Garden Bouquet",
"Glorious Spring Bouquet",
"A Mother's Love Bouquet"
and "Forever Mom Bouquet".
The refill bouquet will be made with our freshest seasonal flowers. It may not match original arrangement, but we promise that it will be beautiful! Spoil your Mom this year!

Central Oregon Wedding Showcase
What a fabulous time we had at the wedding showcase at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond!
If you didn't get to attend in person, you can see a video here.
For our booth we decided to focus on bridal bouquets, with an inspiration board for each. We had SO many ideas, but only room for 10 bouquets, so here's what we chose to showcase!
Vibrant yellow was forecast last year as a hot color for 2009 weddings. That proved true in
our booth, where our yellow bouquets were a huge hit. The hot pink and yellow bouquet features yellow tulips and lilies accented with hot pink gloriosa lilies. The handle is a hot pink sisal cone.
The oth
er yellow bouquet is made up of gorgeous yellow mini callas and lime sherbet cymbidium orchid blooms over a base of yellow carnations. A fun lime eyelash ribbon trims the yellow satin handle wrap.
Another trend continuing from last year is bling. We love the sparkle! This all
white ultra-glam bouquet features roses, dendrobium orchids and stephanotis with sparkling rhinestone accents. More dendrobium blooms are strung into a garland that drips off the sides of the bouquet, ending in a crystal drop. The silver angelhair handle is finished by a pair of crystal rose brooches for the ultimate vintage glam
.
The bling continues with our black and white calla lily bouquet. Always a favorite, this collection of calla lilies is wrapped in black satin and finished with a square rhinestone buckle. More rhinestones sparkle on the callas themselves. So chic!
This year grey starts to challenge chocolate as the new neutral favorit
e. This bouquet of lavender "Cool Water" roses is accented with silvery grey berzillia balls... yes, they are really a fresh product! The silver is carried through to the lamb's ear and handmade silver wire leaves that surround the bouquet. While on-trend and fashion forward, this bouquet still echoes romance.
Pink, oran
ge and lime green continues to be a popular combination. The contrasting colors really pop when they play off each other. This juicy combination of ranunculus, "Voodoo" roses, nerine lilies and "Midori" antherium caught many admiring glances at the showcase.
Another dramatic, vibrant color combination is showcased in this bouquet of composite roses. Burgundy, red, orange and yellow roses are deconstructed and reconstructed into fantasy roses. Handmade copper wire ribbons swirl through and around this bouquet, which is based with a cloud of copper wire.
Natural, organic feeling b
ouquets are always Central Oregon favorites. This beautiful, textural bouquet features echiveria succulents, ranunculus, hydrangea and leucodendron. The bouquet is built on a willow armature and is accented with tiny pods, cones and bits of mosses. Fern curls add interest while aralia leaves form the base. Perfect for the green girl!
Cascade bouquets have been making a comeback in the last few years. Our take on the "new" cascade is this long, flowing bouquet of orchids. Phalaenopsis orchids combine with dendrobium orchids to form the base of this bouquet, which is extended with steelgrass woven and threaded with stephanotis blooms. Wire accented with crystals threads through the bouquet and sparkles along with the crystals in the stephanotis blooms.
The last bouquet was truly awe-inspiring. A rich combination of "Opium" and "Black Bacarra" roses with black mini calla lilies was accented with deep red rhinestones and black feathers. The handle was formed using red-dyed pheasant feathers. Ooh la la!
Finally, the centerpiece of our display was a calla lily tower topped by a luscious sphere of roses. The tower was finished with a "belt" of black satin with a large square rhinestone buckle. This 3 foot tall design was a showstopper, with lots of "How did you DO that?" comments. So much fun!
Remember, if you want to see more of our wedding work, you can always stop by our website and browse through our portfolio. Enjoy!

Wrapping up our holiday open house
Wow -- last night was ladies night and did we ever have FUN!
It was wonderful to have so many of our friends and customers in the shop helping us celebrate with wine, great food and fabulous shopping. I would love to post photos here, but we were way to busy to take any!
I do have photos of our "bouquet of the day" arrangements that we gave away all week, along with the names of the lucky winners. We will be drawing later today (Sat. Nov. 8th) for our grand prize of a year of flowers. Come on down before 4pm if you haven't signed up yet!
Tuesday's bouquet was a textural feast for the eyes!
Tana designed this bouquet of fall flowers including rover mums, oncidium orchids, wheat and dracena foliage. She also included permanent berries, grasses and leaves around a microbeaded permanent pumpkin. The recycled paper container is a great "green" option and is made right here in Oregon! Pat Yancey was the winner of this bouquet.
Wednesday's bouquet was a classic combination of red roses and cymbidium orchids designed by Michelle.
Details such as red-twig dogwood, dracaena foliage and aralia leaves provide the lines for this design. The design is based with red roses that bring out the red in the throats of the orchid blooms and pale green carnations that provide a splash of light to separate the leaves. Brock Smith, from California, was in Prineville visiting relatives and won this bouquet. Quite a gift to leave as a thank you!
Thursday's bouquet was a fun frolic in the snow designed by Carol.
Carol's fun designs featuring keepsake items are always customer favorites. This design showcases a fun jingle bell snowman ornament in "mid-jump" with his skis. Carol echoed the jewel tones of the snowman with lime green athos poms, blue belladonna delphinium and purple carnations. Glittery, frosted evergreens and berries finish this merry and bright Christmas bouquet, which was won by Diane Kenny.
Friday's bouquet was a beautiful fall arrangement in purples and greens by Lyn.
An ornamental kale is showcased in the center of this design. Lyn then repeated the various colors in the kale with the purple liatris, pink heather and chartreuse bells of ireland. The hot pink gerbera daisies provide a punch of color at the base. Proof that "fall colors" don't have to be orange and brown! Barbara Coffelt was the winner of this design.
Congratulations to all the daily bouquet winners. We'll soon be posting the winner of our year of flowers drawing as well!
